"Labourer Chotku Kamal had a kutcha house. It was in a poor condition when it collapsed yesterday at 11:30 PM burying the six kids and their father," Ashutosh pandey, IG Police, Kanpur said.
The neighbours, startled with the noise, rushed to the spot and informed the police.
Meanwhile they pulled out the children and their father from the debris and rushed them to the hospital.
The children, Sundari (14), Malti (8), Priyadarshini (10), Sushma (5), Chandni (3) and LuvKush (12) were declared brought dead. Their father, who was injured, is undergoing treatment at the hospital.
