Six IPS officers shuffled

V K Singh was posted as IGP (Training) at the police headquarters after his repatriation from central deputation in place of K K Saini, an official spokesman said.

Saini was appointed IGP (Railways) against the vacancy caused due to retirement of Abdul Qayoom Manhas last month, he said.

Satish S Khandare, awaiting orders of adjustment after his repatriation from central deputation, was posted as DIG in police headquarters in place of Shakeel Ahmad Beigh.

Danish Rana was appointed DIG (Rajouri-Poonch Range) in place of M K Sinha whose services were placed at the disposal of the CBI for posting as DIG on deputation basis.

Beigh has been posted as DIG traffic, Jammu, in place of Rana.

The orders for transfer were issued after a Cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Omar Abdullah.

The Cabinet also approved promotion of Nasreen Khan, senior-most Deputy Director Archives, Archaeology and Museums, as Director of the Department on officiating basis for a period of six months.
