Sixteen-year-old allegedly raped by neighbour

A 16-year-old girl was allegedly raped by her neighbour at knife-point at a village in the district here, police said.
The incident occurred in Lihsari area of the district on Tuesday.
"The minor had gone to her neighbour's house where she was offered tea. She fell unconscious after having sedative- laced tea, following which she was raped by the youth," police said.
The victim's family alleged that they were being pressurised to reach a compromise.
However, the police have denied any such information.
The minor was taken for medical examination after a complaint was lodged at the police station. The police have started investigation in the matter, they said.
