SJVN Q1 net jumps 14% to Rs 484 cr

Company generated 3,374.79 billion units of power in the April-June quarter of this fiscal

State-run SJVN today posted 14.17 per cent jump in standalone net profit at Rs 484.43 crore for the quarter ended June 30 due to higher generation of power.

The company's net profit was Rs 424.29 crore in first quarter of the previous fiscal, SJVN said in a BSE filing.

The company generated 3,374.79 billion units of power in the April-June quarter of this fiscal compared with 2,405.59 million units in the year ago period.

The total revenue of company was Rs 776.29 crore compared to Rs 674.71 crore in the corresponding period last fiscal.

The company is primarily engaged in generation and sale of power, it said.

Shares of the company were trading at Rs 25.20 apiece up 1.20 per cent on BSE in late afternoon trade.
