Small sugar slips on lower offtake

Small sugar prices slipped at the Vashi wholesale market here today on lower offtake from stockists and retailers.
Meanwhile, medium sugar prices witnessed a mixed pattern of trading owing to alternate bouts of buying and selling.
Small sugar (S-30) by Rs 10/8 per quintal to Rs 2,680/2,812 from Monday's closing level of Rs 2,690/2,820.
Medium sugar (M-30) was quoted at Rs 2,770/2,942 per quintal as against Rs 2,792/2,922 previously.
Following are today's closing rates for sugar (per quintal) with the previous rates given in brackets:
Small sugar (S-30) quality: Rs 2,680/2,812 (Rs 2,690/ 2,820).
Medium sugar (M-30) quality: Rs 2,770/2,942 (Rs 2,792/ 2,922).
