A five-year-old girl and a woman from Karnataka were today hospitalised after a snake bit them near the hill shrine of Lord Venkateswara at Tirumala.
Temple officials told PTI the pilgrims fell unconscious after they were bitten by the snake when they were waiting in queue at the Narayanagiri gardens for darshan of the deity this afternoon.
They were immediately rushed to a TTD hospital on the hills and later to the Government Hospital here for further treatment. They are said to be out of danger, officials added.
