During a meeting to review the progress of production of dhotis and saris for supply to Coimbatore and Tirupur districts today, Tamil Nadu Industries Minister P Thangamani, Handloom and Textiles Minister Dr S Sundarraj and Environment Minister, Thoppy N T Venkatachalam asked the officials in-charge of the scheme to ensure the production met the target.
While Coimbatore district has been given a distribution target of 19.35 lakh saris and 14.85 lakh dhotis, Tirupur district will get 12.61 lakh saris and 8.88 lakh dhotis, an official release said. Here
