Sodhi files papers from Guruharsahai

Close aide of PPCC Chief Capt Amarinder Singh, and three times MLA from Guruharsahai, Rana Gurmit Singh Sodhi today filed his nomination papers from this border constituency as Congress candidate.
This is for the fifth time, the Congress has put its stakes on Sodhi.
Prominent amongst those who accompanied Sodhi included Davinder Singh Ghubaya, son of Akali MP Sher Singh Ghubaya.
Sher Singh still remains an Akali MP though his son Davinder has joined Congress.
Earlier, Sodhi, along with his family members paid obeisance at Gurdwara Beri Sahib in Guruharsahai.
While addressing his supporters, Sodhi said that he will always be grateful to the people of Guruharsahai who have always stood by him.

"I am hundred per cent sure that the people of Guruharsahai will elect me for the fourth consecutive time", said an elated Sodhi.

Sodhi is pitted against Vardev Singh Mann of SAD and Malkiat Singh of AAP.
Sodhi owns two cars, Honda Accord and Cheverolet Cruze besides 700 Gms gold.
While Sodhi has movable assets worth Rs 35.57 lakh, his wife Tina Sodhi has assets worth Rs 22.67 lakhs.
Sodhi owns 13 acres agricultural land in village Mohan Ke Utar in Guruharsahai worth Rs 1.5 crores which he had inherited besides he had purchased another 4.3 acres in village Kotbilia in 2013 which is now worth Rs 2.5 crores.

Sodhi also owns a house in sector-4 Panchkula worth Rs 4.5 crores and commercial building in Ferozepur worth Rs 70 lakhs.
He has fixed deposits worth Rs 16 lakhs.
Sodhi also owns own watches worth Rs 6 lakhs besides guns valuing Rs 7 Lakhs.
