Software employee kills self after boyfriend refuses to marry

A 23-year-old woman working in a software company here allegedly committed suicide in the wee hours today, apparently after her boyfriend refused to marry her and abused her, police said.
The deceased, identified as Reena, was found hanging from the ceiling fan in the bedroom of her residence at A S Rao Nagar, said Malkajgiri police station Sub-Inspector K Saidulu.
Police have booked her boyfriend Denzil and his family members on the charge of abetment to suicide under section 306 of IPC.
As per preliminary investigation, Reena and Denzil, her senior in college, were in love with each other for the last five years and had decided to get married.

"However, it seems that he recently refused to marry her. Yesterday, there was a quarrel between their parents over the matter and Denzil reportedly abused Reena. Vexed over the same, she took the extreme step," Saidulu said.
Police have formed teams to apprehend Debzil who is absconding.
