Candidates from other states should be considered under general category though they belong to SC category).
He agreed that a number of candidates rejected by the scrutiny committee had also been appointed. The Justice A Raman committee had also found 13 appointments irregular. The Committee also did not want to comment on 40 appointments due to lack of material and it could not conclude if corruption had played a role.
The committee did not summon the complainant/petitioner and there was no official examination also. The truth could be found only by a thorough investigation,the inspector said.
He said he had also sent a representation to the inspector, Vigilance and anti corruption police, to register a case and investigate and cited specific cases. But no action was taken. Hence this Petition.
Justice M.Sathyanarayana who heard the case today asked the DVAC counsel to get instructions.
