Somnath Bharti was today taken to Agra, a day after Supreme Court denied interim bail to the AAP MLA and his police custody was extended for three days.
Bharti, while on the run, had taken shelter at various places in and around Agra and Mathura districts.
The same police team will take him to Mathura tomorrow.
At Agra, Bharti was made to confront Lal Singh-- the person who had earlier registered a police complaint over criminal breach of trust against his distant relative Baney Singh (a prominent AAP leader in Agra), who had allegedly harbured Bharti throughout the time he evaded arrest.
A senior official said that Lal Singh recognised Bharti instantly and claimed that he was the 'mantri' from Delhi with whom Baney Singh had come to his house and borrowed his car, which they did not return.
However, the police have not yet been able to track Baney Singh and any of the four other persons who were under the police scanner for allegedy harbouring Bharti.
