Seeing his leader struggling to free her grey-coloured shawl from the zip of her purse, Mallikarjun Kharge offered help which Gandhi readily accepted.
Kharge, the leader of the party in Lok Sabha, too struggled hard and finally managed to free the shawl from the clutches of Gandhi's purse.
Gandhi looked at her shawl and appeared relieved that it was in fine shape and did not get torn in the process.
"You don't want to listen," said BJP member Pralhad Joshi who was making a speech critical of the opposition party. He was joined by his other party colleagues who wanted Gandhi to listen to Joshi's speech.
Rahul, who had earlier attacked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the policies of his government, was heard saying that he was going to washroom and would be back soon.
Gandhi did come back after some time and listened to Joshi's speech.
