Sonowal, who was interacting with students of Kumar Bhaskar Varma University of Sanskrit and Ancient Studies and Tamulpur Commerce College in the state assembly, called upon the students to take active part in youth-led development initiatives.
Sonowal also advised them to share their experience of the assembly with their classmates and convene mock parliament in colleges to enhance their leadership qualities.
He also asked students to utilize the platform of mock parliament to discuss about the problems and issues of neighbouring areas and come up with innovative solutions.
Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, Industry and Commerce Chandra Mohan Patowary and several BJP MLAs were present during the interaction.
