Directed by Soundarya R Ashwin, the films also stars Deepika Padukone, Shobana, Rukmini Vijayakumar, Jackie Shroff among others.

"Kochadaiyaan" is shot with motion capture in 3D and the music is composed by AR Rahman. The film will be dubbed in Telugu as Vikrama Simha and will also be released in Hindi, Malayalam, Japanese and English.
"Kochadaiyaan" is slated to hit theatres on Rajinikanth's birthday on December 12.
