Soumyajit Ghosh and Poulomi Ghatak win titles
In an all PSPB final between two Olympians, 19-year old Soumyajit got the better of former title holder and veteran Achanta Shaarath Kamal 4-1 (15-13, 11-7, 11-9, 9-11 and 15-13) while national champion Poulomi Ghatak defeated Vidya Deshpande to regain the title also by 4-1 (10-12, 11-7, 11-8, 11-7 and 11-8).
Soumyajit became richer by Rs 75,000 whle Poulami received a purse of Rs 58,000.
An ecstatic Samyajit, a native of Siliguri in North Bengal after the match said,"This was the best match I have ever played. To beat Sharath, I needed to bring out my best and I did exactly that."
