Former cricketer and Team India captain Sourav Ganguly today put a lid on speculations about him contesting Lok Sabha elections, saying he would not join politics.
"I am not in politics. I am a man of sports," he said.
"It is confirmed," Ganguly told reporters after a visit to state secretariat, Nabanna.
He said he visited Nabanna to discuss matters related to his upcoming school project here.
Last month, Ganguly had said that he had received an offer from BJP to contest next year's Lok Sabha elections, but was undecided.
Speculation was doing the rounds after he met Varun Gandhi through a common friend in Delhi in mid-November last year.
