Soyabean oil weakens on sluggish demand

Soyabean oil drifted by Rs 50 per quintal at the wholesale oils and oilseeds market today on subdued demand from retailers.
However, other edible and non-edible oils continued to trade in a narrow range in limited deals and settled around previous levels.
Traders said subdued demand from retailers and a weak trend in global markets mainly led to decline in soyabean oil prices.
In the national capital, soyabean refined mill delivery (Indore) and soyabean degum Kandla) oils were down by Rs 50 each to Rs 6,400 and Rs 6,100 per quintal, respectively.

Oilseeds: Mustardseed Rs 2,950-3,050 and Groundnutseed Rs 2,150-2,900. Vanaspati Ghee (15-litre tin) Rs 850-1,065.
Edible oils: Groundnut Mill Delivery (Gujarat) Rs 8,800, Groundnut Solvent Refined (per tin) Rs 1,650-1,700, Mustard expeller (Dadri) Rs 7,500, Mustard Pakki Ghani (per tin) Rs 1,270-1,320, Mustard Kachi Ghani (per tin) Rs 1,320-1,420, sesame mill delivery Rs 8,000, Soyabean Refined Mill Delivery (Indore) Rs 6,400, Soyabean Degum (Kandla) Rs 6,100, Crude Palm Oil (Ex-Kandla) Rs 4,200, Cottonseed Mill Delivery (Haryana) Rs 5,700, Palmolein (RBD) Rs 5,400, Palmolein (Kandla) Rs 5,300 and Coconut (per tin) Rs 2,200-2,225.
Non-edible oils: Linseed Rs 8,450, Castor Rs 9,750-9,850, Neem Rs 5,350-5,450.
