Having maintained all along that SP is its main rival in the upcoming assembly polls, BJP said the main priority of the ruling party is saving the Yadav family and not the state's people and wondered if the family fight is over the "loot" of public money since it came to power five years back.
"SP government has protected all these years land, mining and liquor mafia while public suffered from its misrule. Today praised was heaped on Mukhtar Ansari (an MLA with criminal background) in the SP meeting," BJP National Secretary Shrikant Sharma told reporters here.
People of the state want to be ridden of criminals and mafia ruling the roost in the state and only BJP can do that, he claimed.
The saffron party will go to the people to seek votes against the SP's "misrule" and for its development agenda, he said.
