At the main function at the party headquarters here, senior leaders, including the Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav cut a 74 kg cake to mark the day and took the pledge by signing a resolution for achieving a historic win in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections and taking forward the achievements and policies of the party among the people.
Though Mulayam Singh Yadav was in New Delhi attending the winter session of Parliament, the party workers and leaders made a beeline to the party office here since the morning distributing and sharing sweets on the occasion.
The student wing of the party also organised blood donation camp and fruits and clothes were distributed by the workers among the poor and in hospitals.
