Actor Kevin Spacey, in his typical humorous avatar, used an F-word while accepting his career's first ever Golden Globe award.
The 55-year-old actor broke his seven-year-old jinx as he won the Best Actor Award in a TV Series- Drama at the 72nd Golden Globe Awards for his performance in 'House of Cards', reported Entertainment Weekly.
Spacey started his speech, saying "This is just the beginning of my revenge," making a joking reference to his character Frank Underwood from 'House of Cards'.
Underwood plays a charming but conniving politician on the Netflix show, co-starring Kate Mara and Robin Wright.
"This is the eighth time I've been nominated," the actor continued before the the censors cut out the cuss word.
Spacey ended his speech with an anecdote about the last time he saw the late Stanley Kramer, acclaimed director of films including 'Guess Who's Coming to Dinner' and 'It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad, World'.
Spacey recalled telling the director that he had long admired his work but Kramer had surprised him by saying, "Thank you so much for saying that. That means so much to me. I just wish my films could have been better.'"
Spacey, who was previously nominated for his films 'American Beauty' and 'The Usual Suspects, ended his speech by echoing Kramer's words, "I just want it to be better. I just want to be better, but this is very encouraging.
