Speeding car hits police barricade, auto in Gurgaon; 3 injured

A speeding vehicle rammed into a police barricade on the arterial M G Road and then hit an auto-rickshaw, injuring three women, police said today.
The driver of Maruti Ritz was driving in a high speed to evade the policemen manning the barricade put up outside Sahara Mall to check drunken driving, Sector-29 police station SHO Vikash Kaushik said.
The auto-rickshaw was flung into the air in the impact of the accident that took place last night, a police officer said.
The three women, travelling in the auto, suffered injuries and were admitted to a hospital. One of the injured was discharged after first-aid.

The car driver managed to speed away.
"We have the registration number of the vehicle. The driver will be arrested. An FIR has been registered for reckless and negligence driving against the unidentified driver," the police officer added.
