Twenty-six-year-old Renu and her daughter were crossing the road in Temri village around 8 am when the speeding dumper truck ran over them, killing them on the spot, Saraimamrej police station SHO Pradeep Kumar Ray said.
Soon after the accident, residents blocked traffic on the road for sometime demanding immediate arrest of the errant driver.
The bodies have been sent for post-mortem, the police officer said.
