Market analysts said rising demand at the domestic spot markets mainly influenced copper futures but weakness in the base metals pack at the London Metal Exchange (LME) amid signs that the US Federal Reserve could raise interest rates as early as next month, limited the gains.

Globally, copper slid 0.7% at USD 4,656 per tonne at the LME in yesterday's trade.
