Squall forces diversion of 4 city-bound flights

Flight operations stopped at the N S C Bose Airport here for more than 40 minutes due to a squall which lashed the city and districts.
An airport spokesman said the thunderstorm, accompanied by rains, caused diversion of four incoming flights including two international ones since 7.30 pm.
Air India 764 Delhi-Kolkata flight, which came at 7:30 pm, was diverted to Ranchi while touching down and came back to the city by 9:15 pm, the spokesman said.
Details of other international flights were not available ascertained.
