"The woman's family members have complained that the accused had raised demands of dowry several times," Naraul SP, Manisha Chaudhary said.
"The woman's father went to visit her the day before yesterday as he grew suspicious after failing to contact her for several days. When he reached their house he found nobody and spotted some blood marks there following which he informed the police," she said.
"After the complaint, the accused was nabbed from Delhi yesterday and was brought to Narnaul. The bodies were fished out from a canal last night after interrogating him," she said.
"We are interrogating the accused to know why he took the step. The exact cause of death would be known after postmortem report arrives," she said, adding the accused has been booked under relevant provisions of the law.
