The Competition Commission of India (CCI), which keeps a tab on unfair business practices across sectors, has sought applications for people in financial analysis, economics and law.
In a public announcement, the watchdog said it is inviting "applications from eligible candidates for engagement of 15 research associates/professionals to assist the Commission in the discharge of its functions under the Competition Act".
As many as 8 professionals in the field of law, 5 in economics and 2 in financial analysis are to be hired.
Last month, the Corporate Affairs Ministry had said there were 72 vacant positions out of the sanctioned strength of 197 at CCI in 2015-16.
The number of vacancies at the fair trade regulator was slightly higher than 68 in 2014-15 while it was 92 in 2013-14.
CCI comes under the administrative control of the Corporate Affairs Ministry.
