The 52-year-old actor will be joining the cast that includes Mark Wahlberg, Jack Reynor and Nicola Peltz, reported Contactmusic.
Bay has not yet revealed Tucci's role in the film.
It is reported that Tucci will portray an outspoken character similar to John Turturro's Agent Simmons in the first three films.
"As humanity picks up the pieces following the conclusion of 'Transformers: Dark of the Moon', Autobots and Decepticons have all but vanished from the face of the planet.
"However, a group of powerful, ingenious businessman and scientists attempt to learn from past Transformer incursions and push the boundaries of technology beyond what they can control all while an ancient, powerful Transformer menace sets Earth in his crosshairs," said a press release by Michigan Film Council, where shooting of the film will begin this year.
