State EC appoints 33 observers for Panchayat Polls

Rajasthan State Election Commission (RSEC) today appointed 33 observers in each districts for the ongoing Panchayati Raj polls process which is being held in three phases.
"Observers would overview and prepare the report on the election process for free and fair polls from January 14 to 24, and January 26 to February 5," the official spokesman said.
Besides, observers who are mostly the senior administrative officers, would also ensure implementation of model code of conduct and law and order situation in coordination with police department, he said.
Observers would be in constant touch with the Commissioner of RSEC.
