"During the period 2012-13 to 2014-15, an amount of Rs 5,219 crore was released against which the states have reported an expenditure of Rs 6,110 crore (including spillover from previous year)," Planning Minister Rao Inderjit Singh said in a written reply.
The Integrated Action Plan (IAP) for selected tribal and backward districts was in operation from 2010-11 to 2012-13. From 2013-14, the assistance was provided to 88 districts under the scheme 'Additional Central Assistance (ACA) for Left Wing Extremism Affected Districts' including the 82 IAP districts.
The minister said that the works taken by the states under the programme included village road, drinking water facilities and sanitation, school buildings/school infrastructure, anganwadi centres etc.
He said that there is no allocation for this programme in Budget 2015-16.
