The Additional Deputy Superintendent of Central Crime Branch, Radhakrishnan, to whom the probe was entrusted, submitted the status report before the bench comprising justices S Nagamuthu and V Bharathidasan.
Radhakrishnan had informed the court earlier that two more associates of Madan, identified as Sudhir and Guna, were also missing.
"The officer would unearth every disputed fact and come up with an appropriate action," the bench said and granted two weeks time to file the next status report.
Madan had allegedly collected huge amounts of money from various students and their parents with a false promise to secure admissions in SRM University.
The bench also directed the court registry to keep the status report in a sealed cover.
