In an interview on "The Jim Rome Show", Mark Shapiro, Chief Content Officer at WME | IMG, which acquired Miss Universe Organisation earlier this year, said that he wanted Harvey to return to the beauty pageant next year as a host.

"I definitely want him back, and I would hate to see him not come back. He's going to want a shot to redeem himself," Shapiro added.
It was also reported that Harvey had received an invitation to return as the host of the 2016 Miss Universe pageant.
In a separate interview, one of the 2015 Miss Universe pageant judges, Perez Hilton, said that the idea of Harvey returning to the show was really good for ratings. "I think Steve Harvey should definitely come back," Perez said. "It would be great for ratings.
