Truckload of fishes faced the prospect of rotting as hundreds of vehicles were stranded at Nagendra Bazar in Dimaomnd Habour of South 24 Parganas district following a flash strike by labourers.
The stalemate began this afternoon after the trucks were entering the area four days after being halted due to extremely poor business in the wake of demonetisation.
About 250 trucks with 40 quintals of ice heaped on the fishes were lining up.
