Student held on charge of raping jawan's wife in Jammu: Police

A 23-year-old student was arrested after an army jawan's wife accused him of blackmailing her by uploading her nude pictures on social media and then raping her in the outskirts of Jammu city, police said today.
"A woman, wife of an army jawan, lodged a written complaint with Bishnah police station yesterday, alleging that a youth took her nude pictures while she was taking a bath and later raped her by threatening to upload these on the social media," a police official told PTI.
He said the woman claimed that the youth uploaded her pictures on various social networking sites after she resisted his blackmailing efforts.

"An FIR was registered under section376 (rape) and 323 (voluntarily causing hurt) against the youth, who was arrested," the official said.
He said the arrested youth is a student and lives near the house of the complainant.
