Jaideep Mukherjee, a student of Fanindra Deb Institution, a reputed government-aided school here, was found hanging at about 3 pm.
Jaideep's father lodged an FIR this evening naming Head Master Sujan Somroy and class teacher Anubrata Roy alleging their torture forced the boy to commit suicide.
According to the FIR, Jaideep was mentally and physically tortured by the two teachers after a bench, on which he along with four others boys was sitting, broke two weeks ago.
Stating that they would compensate the damage, Jaideep's parents had recently requested the head master keep him in the school but he did not pay heed to this plea, it said.
Jaideep, who had failed in the last annual examination, was irregular in classes during the past two weeks.
Repeated attempts to contact the two accused teachers failed.
The police said complaints of torture by the accused teachers were not new.
