A bench headed by Justice Anoop Mohata asked University counsel Rui Rodrigues yesterday whether the matter can be placed before the examination Board, to which he replied in the affirmative.
The matter was then adjourned to October 8.
The petition filed by Mohammed Salim Hassan Ali Shaikh alleged that unfair practices were going on during examination in which two junior supervisors were supporting malpractices.
The petitioner said he had filed a police complaint against the head of department for using abusive language against him.
As a counter attack, he was served with a show cause notice by the unfair practices cell of the University in which it was alleged that he had used abusive language against the head of the department.
The University argued that the petition was baseless and not maintainable. It alleged that the petitioner had issued threats to the head of department and misbehaved. Even the unfair practices cell had found him guilty and served a show cause notice to him.
