Sameer Kamale, the first year student of a private engineering college, shot himself in the head in Tulsi Nagar locality here by using the revolver of his father Ramesh Kamale, who is sub-inspector with MP's Anti-Terrorism Squad, City Superintendent of Police R D Bhardwaj told PTI.
The boy is in a very critical condition and has been admitted to a private hospital, he said.
He sustained a deep bullet wound in the head, Bhardwaj added.
The reason behind the boy's bid to kill himself is yet to be ascertained, he said, adding the matter is being investigated.
