The 19 students of Rutgers University, New Jersey had earlier undergone an on-line introduction to the course in their University before flying to India for an intensive study.
"The roots of Hinduism are so deep that if practised properly, adversities would turn into opportunities", Robert Lindsey, a student said.
The course is highly interactive. The students finally would have to appear in the examination to be conducted by Rutgers University New Jersey, Dr Satya Narayan Das, the founder Director of Jiva Institute that imparts teaching in Indian culture, Hinduism, Indian Philosophy and Ayurveda said.
"In addition to daily lectures, students are exposed to music, art, dance and rituals that makes life in India specially in Vrindaban special. It will attempt an initial introduction to the plethora of traditions and cultural expressions, grouped under the heuristic label of Hinduism", he said.
Students, attending the course are getting an opportunity to have first hand experience of Indian culture.
"Hinduism is much more accepting", another student Alexandra Puntolilto feels.
"It imparts idea of non-violence and vegetarianism. It inculcates kindness towards others. The course certainly would change the course of my life", he said.
"Study of Krishna and Yamuna is good experience. The level of consciousness is bound to improve by this course", Marina a student from New Jersey said.
