Sudan's army rulers said that they had reached an "agreement on most demands" made by protest leaders after the two sides held a meeting, but did not elaborate on the demands.

"We have an agreement on most demands presented in the document of the Alliance for Freedom and Change," Lieutenant General Shamseddine Kabbashi, spokesman of the ruling military council, told reporters after a meeting between the council and leaders of the protest movement who have demanded the council hand over power to a civilian administration.
