Sudhir Yadav takes over charge of DG (Prisons)

Senior IPS officer Sudhir Yadav today took charge as the new Director General of Tihar prisons.
Yadav was yesterday appointed DG(Prisons) on an order by the Lt Governor Najeeb Jung.
After taking over charge, Yadav held meeting with senior jail officials.
The 1985 batch IPS officer of Arunachal Pradesh-Goa-Mizoram and Union Territory (AGMUT) cadre had earlier served as Special Commissioner (Provisions and Logistics) of Delhi Police before being appointed as DG of Tihar prisons.
Yadav succeeded Alok Kumar who became Commissioner of Delhi Police at the end of February. The post of DG(prisons) was lying vacant since then.
