Sugar and maida moves up, gram dal down

The prices of sugar and maida moved up while gram dal declined in the wholesale foodgrains market during the week ending here today.
Rest all other commodities ruled steady in the market through out the week.
Sugar opened the week at Rs.3,300 an increase of Rs.50 per quintal from its closing rate of Rs.3,250 to end at its opening rate.
Likewise, Maida (90 kg) opened the week at Rs 2,400, an increase of Rs 50 to end at the same rate.
In contrast, Gram dal moved down by Rs.50 per quintal to Rs.3,900 from its previous closing rate of Rs.3,950.
Thoor dal (Rs 7,300), urad dal (Rs 7,400), moong dal (Rs 9,900) wheat (Rs.2,400) and sooji (90 kg)(Rs 2,500) ruled steady throughout the week.
