Sugar drops on low demand

Both varieties of sugar prices small and medium dropped at the Vashi wholesale market today on lower demand from stockists, retailers and bulk consumers coupled with good supply position.
Small sugar prices fell by Rs 4/96 per quintal to Rs 3,582/3,666 from Tuesday's closing level of Rs 3,586/3,762.
Medium sugar slid by Rs 24 per quintal to Rs 3,652/ 3,882 as compared Rs 3,676/3,882 previously.
Following are today's closing rates for sugar (per quintal) with the previous rates given in brackets:
Small sugar (S-30) quality: Rs 3,582/3,666 (Rs 3,586/3,762).
Medium sugar (M-30) quality: Rs 3,652/3,882 (Rs 3,676/3,882).
