Sugar edges up on good demand

Sugar prices moved higher at the Vashi Wholesale market here today on increased offtake from stockists and retailerrrs amidst better enquiries from upcountry buyers.
Medium sugar (M-30) firmed up by Rs 10 per quintal to Rs 3,192/3,291 from Tuesday's closing level of Rs 3,182/3,291.
Small sugar (S-30) added Rs 2 per quintal to Rs 3,062/3,135 from Rs 3,060/3,135 previously.
Following are today's closing rates for sugar (per quintal) with the previous rates given in brackets:
Medium sugar (M-30) quality: Rs 3,192/3,291 (Rs 3,182/3,291).
Small sugar (S-30) quality: Rs 3,062/3,135 (Rs 3,060/3,135).
