Sugar prices declines on subdued demand

Both the varieties of sugar prices declined at the Vashi wholesale sugar market here today due to subdued demand from stockist and retailers amidst adequate supplies.
Small sugar (S-30) fell by Rs 15 per quintal to Rs 3,142/3,221 from Thursday's closing level of Rs 3,142/3,236.
Medium sugar (M-30) also moved down by Rs 10 per quintal to Rs 3,226/3,411 from Rs 3,236/3,421.
Following are today's closing rates for sugar (per quintal) with the previous rates given in brackets:
Small sugar (S-30) quality: Rs 3,142/3,221 (Rs 3,142/3,236.
Medium sugar (M-30) quality: Rs 3,226/3,411 (Rs 3,236/3,421).
