Sugar prices drop on stockist selling

Prices of both the varieties of sugar dropped at the Vashi wholesale market here today on stockist selling amidst subdued demand from bulk consumers and millers.
Medium sugar (M-30) fell to Rs 3,092/3,246 from Wednesday's closing level of Rs 3,096/3,271.
Small sugar (S-30) also moved down by Rs 10 per quintal to Rs 2,952/3,100 as against Rs 2,962/3,100.
Following are today's closing rates for sugar (per quintal) with the previous rates given in brackets:
Small sugar (S-30) quality: Rs 2,952/3,100 (Rs 2,962/3,100).
Medium sugar(M-30) quality: Rs 3,092/3,246 (Rs 3,096/3,271).
