Sugar prices fall on easing demand at higher levels

Sugar prices declined by Rs 125 per quintal in the national capital today following slackness in demand amid excess supply at persisting higher levels.
Marketmen said fall in demand against heavy supply mainly pulled down sweetener prices.
Sugar ready M-30 and S-30 prices slipped from Rs 3325-3525 and Rs 3315-3515 to finish at Rs 3200-3400 and Rs 3190-3390, revealing a sharp loss of Rs 125 per quintal.
Similarly, mill delivery M-30 and S-30 enquired lower at Rs 3150-3250 and Rs 3140-3240 instead of Rs 3200-3330 and Rs 3190-3320 per quintal.
Among millgate section prices of Mawana, Kinnoni and Dorala all dropped to settle at Rs 3180, Rs 3250 and Rs 3180 from Rs 3225, Rs 3330 and Rs 3230 per quintal.

Sugar ready: M-30 Rs 3,200-3,400, S-30 Rs 3,190-3,390.
Mill delivery: M-30 Rs 3,150-3,250; S-30 Rs 3,140-3,240.
Sugar mill gate (including duty): Mawana 3,180, Kinnoni 3,250, Asmoli 3,240, Dorala 3,180, Budhana 3,200, Thanabhavan 3,190, Dhanora 3,230, Simbholi 3,250, Modi Nagar Rs 3,180, Khatuli 3,280, Dhampur 3,200, Ramala 3,240, Bulandshar 3,240, Anupshar 3,170, Baghpat 3,240, Morna 3,230, Sakoti 3,220, Chandpur 3,230, Amroha N.T. And Nazibabad 3,230.
