Sugar softens on mild offtake
Prices of both varieties of sugar softened at the Vashi wholesale market here today due to sustained offtake from stockists and bulk consumers.
Small sugar (S-30) edged down by Rs 2 per quintal to Rs 2,610/2,751 from Tuesday's closing level of Rs 2,612/2,751.
Medium sugar (M-30) also eased by Rs 2 per quintal to Rs 2,700/2,882 as compared Rs 2,702/2,882, yesterday.
