Sugarcane crushing season continues in Haryana

During the current cane crushing season, Haryana Cooperative Sugar Mill Shahabad has so far achieved the highest sugar recovery of 10.10 per cent.
Besides, the mill has so far crushed maximum 5.24 lakh quintal of sugarcane and produced 45,300 quintal of sugar.
Giving this information here today, an official spokesman said that the Cooperative Sugar Mills of Panipat and Karnal have also succeeded in achieving sugar recovery of 10 per cent during the current crushing season.
Apart from this, HAFED Sugar Mill Assandh has achieved sugar recovery of 9.55 per cent.
He said that during the current crushing season, the cooperative sugar mills in the state have so far produced over 1.58 lakh quintal sugar by crushing 23.58 lakh quintal of sugarcane.
He said that the Cooperative Sugar Mill, Panipat has crushed 3.34 lakh quintal of sugarcane thus producing 29,850 quintal sugar.
Similarly, Cooperative Sugar Mill Sonipat has crushed 2.72 lakh quintals of sugarcane and produced 18,350 quintals of sugar.
He said that Cooperative Sugar Mill Gohana has crushed 2.44 lakh quintals of sugarcane and produced 13,660 quintals of sugar.
The Cooperative Sugar Mill Karnal has crushed 2.17 lakh quintals of sugarcane and produced 16,020 quintals of sugar whereas Cooperative Sugar Mill Meham has crushed 2.26 lakh quintals of sugarcane and produced 8,825 quintals of sugar.
He said that Cooperative Sugar Mill Jind has crushed 1.77 lakh quintals of sugarcane and produced 12,295 quintals of sugar and Cooperative Sugar Mill Rohtak has crushed 2.38 lakh quintal of sugarcane and produced 12,350 quintal sugar.
Similarly, Cooperative Sugar Mill Kaithal has crushed 63,000 quintals of sugarcane and produced 630 quintals of sugar and Cooperative Sugar Mill Palwal has crushed 63,000 quintals of sugarcane and produced 1,365 quintals of sugar.
During this period, the average sugar recovery in cooperative sugar mills is 8.71 per cent, he said.
Besides, HAFED Sugar Mill Assandh has crushed 1.14 lakh quintal of sugarcane and produced 4,800 quintal of sugarcane and its average sugar recovery is 9.14 per cent, he said.
He said that all kinds of arrangements have been done for crushing of sugarcane in Cooperative Sugar Mills so that farmers do not face any problem and the special emphasis of the state government would be on achieving the targets fixed for the sugar mills.
