Tension prevailed at Lisadh village after sugarcane produce spread over eight bighas of land of village council head Baba Harkishan Singh was burnt last night, a police officer said.
In another incident, produce of Raj Kumar of Lusana village was burnt by a group of criminals last night, police said, adding that they are probing the matter.
Meanwhile, police arrested Shripal Singh when he tried to set sugarcane produce on fire at Sikerdarpur village.
Police said some miscreants were active in the district who had been setting sugarcane produce in fire.
