Suicide attempt at Sovabazar Metro

A failed suicide attempt by a young lady at Sovabazaar metro station during busy office hours caused disruption in service between Nowapara and Sovabazaar.
"A young lady aged around 25 years jumped before the New Garia bound train when it was half-way in the Sovabaazar station at 9.48am," Metro Railways officials said.
"With proper management by the motorman and with guidance by the station master and other officials, we have been able to save her life," the spokesperson said.
The service between the stretch resumed at 10.30am. However, train service between New Garia and Central remained normal officials said.
