Sujjan wins unique Indian pro event in US

Sujjan Singh emerged as the winner in a unique tournament of Indian professionals in the United States.
One of the 10 Indian pros, Sujjan toured nearly 12,50 miles on road over a period of six week in the US. It was a road show-cum Tour for Indian professional golfers, organised by Indian professional Gurbaaz Mann, who runs the Indo-American Professional Golf Association in US.
They played on a series of golf courses over 45 days and 22-city tour across the United States.
The unique competition was an average score of 15 rounds played on courses with any practice round.
Sujjan averaged 70.9 to emerge as the best.

For the last six weeks, he has had his friends and former colleagues from the Indian professional Tour come over to the US for a 45-day, 22-city coast to coast on a road trip for the 10 pros.

The Indian pros, who went on this Tour were Ajeetesh Sandhu, Amardip Malik, Abhijit Chadha, Abhinav Lohan, Abhishek Jha, Rahul Bajaj, Angad Cheema, Shubhankar Sharma, Gurbaaz himself, besides Sujjan.
The inaugural IAPGA Tour of the United States for 2015 successfully concluded at the Bent Tree Golf Course here.
The Indo American communities helped raise the funds and accumulate resources to fund this entire trip of the players.

Gurbaaz, a prominent Indian pro, who has featured on Asian and Indian domestic Tours, said, "I would like to thank a whole lot of people and my fellow pros from India to make this a reality. They and the Indian community and volunteers like Rachel Varghese supported the vision and promoted the tour with their own time and expenses.
"Various Indians and organisations hosted us along the Tour and made it possible. Our goal and relentless effort is to see a player succeed on the web.Com and ultimately on the PGA Tour. For this purpose we needed to generate financial support to enable the players through the US Tour Qualifying School. We were very fortunate in successfully raising the funds and support necessary to cover the players' travel and lodging for the successfully concluded inaugural tour."

Sujjan will now be trying to come through US Tour's Web.Com Qualifying School.
